Ossewa Antiques was started in 1995
by former Springbok rugby player,
Christiaan Scholtz. With 16 years of
experience in the antiques business,
Christiaan and the team at Die
Ossewa Antiques are able to source
only the most beautiful examples of
antique furniture and collectables.
Die
Ossewa is known for having new and
fresh stock coming in every day and
is open seven days a week. Our
prices are very competitive and our
stock is of the highest quality. Die
Ossewa Antiques has gained such a
good reputation that it has been
voted •Best Antiques Shop• at the
Leisure Options Reader•s Choice Best
of Jo•burg awards on four occasions.
Die Ossewa
Antiques is always looking for
exciting and interesting antiques to
buy and sell. We buy and sell:
• Antique furniture, especially
Africana, French Country and Danish
or
Swedish design;
• Antique collectables;
• South African art and other
paintings;
• Art Deco items;
• Jewellery;
• Porcelain, silver and crystal and
• Books.
The team
at Die Ossewa Antiques buy
everything from single pieces to
complete house clearances. Our
pieces are sourced both
internationally and locally and
Christiaan is personally involved in
sourcing all of the items for sale.
The Warehouse
Die
Ossewa warehouse is a 2000m2 space
filled with furniture and
interesting items from all over the
globe. The warehouse, which is
located in Selby, is open to the
public and has safe and secure
parking. The public is welcome to
come into our warehouse and browse
and buy. We have full transaction
facilities and accept all major
credit cards. We will also deliver
any large item bought at either the
warehouse or the shop.
All of our
restoration work is done at the
warehouse. Die Ossewa Antiques
specialises in the restoration of:
• Antique furniture,
• French polish,
• Riempies and
• Upholstery.
